Hello from the land down under.
I live in Brisbane Australia.
I'm new to this bass playing caper as I have always played guitar till now.
There is a huge drought of bass players where I am, and I've always loved how a good bass player can enhance a song and bring it to life if he knows how to separate from the guitars so at this point in my musical endeavours I've decided to make the transition.
At the moment I play in a metal band but also love blues, rock and some country stuff ( if its got a bit of get up and go to it ).I love what bass players did for disco songs in the late 70's too.
Can anyone give a few pointers equipment wise on what they enjoy playing through and why.
