Greetings from NE Oklahoma

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Joe, and I've been playing bass for, oh, 4 weeks now:

I have a background as a saxophonist, but I'm just getting back into music after an extensive (12 years +) layoff. I'm already taking lessons (3rd one today..), and it's encouraging to see slow, steady progress. I have a fairly cheap setup (Yamaha RBX170, and Acoustic B20 amp), but it sounds surprisingly good. Hopefully just the beginning of a bigger and better collection. Looking forward to absorbing some good knowledge from all y'all
