Hi All,

My name is Frank Wilson.I am new to Talkbass and I look forward to using it on a regular basis!I am a professional bassist/vocalist in the New London,CT area and I play in several different groups. One of the bands is called Vertigo.

Another band is called Herbal Nation

And the band I play with most regularly is called Frank & Jerry(easy listening acoustic duo)

F.Y.I.I lived in San Francisco for 10 years and played in a really cool band called Budderball and an excellent band called the Playtonics(formerly THC).You can see some information on Budderball here....

And the Playtonics here....

I need some help/advice as well.I am looking for a good stand alone cabinet with 212's,a nice portable excellent sounding head and a nice combo amp,but I am on a super tight budget.I am sort of torn between the SWR Bigfoot(if I could ever find one)the Aguilar GS212,Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 212 or a Low Down Sound 212.As far as heads go I currently have an Eden Nemesis NA-320 and I am pretty happy with it but I think I may want to go even lighter in weight with either a Markbass Little Mark II,Genz Benz Neo Pack 3.5 or something like that. And as far as combos go I need a lot of help with this because I have tried a lot of things recently and nothing really did it for me.PLEASE HELP!Also I ONLY play 4 string basses and I prefer Jazz bass style instruments so if ever there is something nice out there give me a heads up as long as it is not too expensive!

Welcome from another CT bassist. They carry the Markbass stuff up in Beantown, but not at the GC here near New Haven. Good luck! I am still in heavy amp land myself. Gotta catch up to the times!

Hye guys, Frank is a friend of mine and a very cool cat! Granted, it took him FOREVER to join TB, but he finally made it!
