My name is Brew and I am a Guitar and Bassaholic
I have returned to the bass after many years absence (largely due to my ineptitude and lack of ability)
I live in Hampshire (that's the "olde" Hampshire) in England... and currently own a 1979 Rickenbacker 4001, a 1959 Gibson EB-2 and a 1980s Nightingale bass, made by Bernie Goodfellow... which BG is currently upgrading (with GB Guitars pickups replacing the old Nightingale branded ones, and updated electronics). Should be ready this week, so fingers crossed....
My only amp right now, is a (borrowed) 1960s Marshall Super Bass head and cab...which is getting long in the tooth... so I'll be asking you guys for recommendations on what's hot and what's not - in bass amplification.
I am also interested in a DarkStar pickup for the old EB-2... it's not "collector grade" (LOL), so "value" isn't an issue. "Playability" is. So I have a bit of searching to do, in your existing posts.
