Hello Fellow Low-Enders!
I am a practicing bass player (that is, I DO practice, AND, I'm in the practice of making $$ for my efforts

), who lives in way-northern New York State (aka, the "North Country").
I'm a member of a 3-man classic-rock covers band called Route 66. In addition to myself, the band consists of a guitarist-keyboardist-vocalist and a drummer. Because we are a "3-Man," we need to do everything possible to fill out our sound. I use the following gear to hold up my end of that job (you'll infer from the following that, in addition to other things, I LOVE Schecter basses and Ashdown amps

):
- Schecter Stiletto Studio 5, strung BEADG with Elixir Nanoweb Roundwounds (I use this bass for the hard-rock'n stuff--and, YES, it rocks!)
- Schecter Stiletto Elite 5, strung EADGC with Elixir Nanoweb Roundwounds, and with a Roland GK-3B Divided Pickup installed on it (I use this bass for keyboard-driven songs, and for songs where the guitarist-keyboardist is playing guitar and so can't provide the necessary keyboard textures)
- Schecter Stiletto Elite 5, strung BEADG with LaBella Black Nylon Tapewounds (I use this bass for songs where I want an acoustic sound that will cut through the mix--and, let me tell you, the LaBellas on the Schecter crank out the warmest, phattest acoustic tone you'll ever hear!)
- A Boss ME50B Bass Multi-Effects Pedal
- A Roland GR-20 Synthesizer
- 2 Ashdown MAG C210T-300 Combo Bass Amps, each of which sits on top of an Ashdown MAG 410T Deep Bass Cab
I also do lead and background vocals (typically on the mid-tempo stuff and mush ballads).
I look forward to "schmoozing" with fellow low-enders on future threads...'til then, see y'all (I lived in the South for over 10 years, so I can say that!

)
