Hi!
I'm 62 and bought a G&L Black L2000 Serries E I think in 1980. I'm starting to have some health problems and am thinking of selling it. It has been under my bed for many years and is close to perfect. How can I find out what it is worth? Thanks! jwwallace4

Two ways come to mind:

1. Musicians Blue Book, at your local music store. You sometimes have to beg for them to pull it out;

2. EBay. Look up the recent sales for your bass and determine the average price they're going for.

I may be interested in this bass. Does anyone know off the top of their head how much this would cost?

Take a look on E-bay as was said but also if this is near perfect and depending the age, woods used, wear, yada, yada, yada, maybe up to $1000+ if a light weight mahogany body with an ebony fretboard.

Got pictures? Swing down to the G&L forum and post them up so the experts can tell you what we think.

hey wallace. weasle here. just saw your post.
as a newbie and beginning bassist at 47 years old, I suggest you drag your bass from under the bed and keep it.
I became a widower after 23 years of happy marriage, getting turned on to music has been a life saver, literally.
but anyway keep your bass and play it. KEEP ON STRUMMIN'
