Hey all. I am new to TB and gotta say it seems like an oasis to a 25 year musician that recently got the groove bug. Well scratch that, in 1990 I bought a Charvel bass with rusty strings and had only a volume pot so if that doesn't date things I don't know what will. I have played guitar since '85 and up until 6 months ago didn't really care what anybody else was doing in the band and well, long story short, couldn't find a bass player who really understood his role in the band or even what the purpose was in even having a bass in the 1st place. So sorry to the bass gods and I promise to be the bass player that should be! And yes serving the song always comes first!!!!!!!!!!!!!
