After a while enjoying the plethora of info on this fantiastic site, I've decided to join to jump into the action, and just wanted to say "Hi" as well...
I'm a Southern California native who moved to Korea a little before my 20th birthday to study the Korean language and traditional music. I've been here 15 years, almost nearly as long as I've been playing bass (since 1991), although I spend a little too much time trying to learn other instruments that I often get lost in the mess. I've been playing a 1978 Fender Jazz Bass for the past 10 years or so, after long enjoying a tacky-looking but really useful early-year Guild pilot bass.
Anything else? I'm married, have 3 Scottish Folds, am a fan of Fender Jazzmasters and Teles, and have produced Korean pop music for over a decade now...be that a shame or an acolade!
Other than the obvious from my profile, I'll be honest in saying that I work for Moollon, the maker of the Moollon Bass Drive. I won't be talking about it or the company much (unless people request specific info about the deal), but will say that I got the Bass Drive almost two years before I joined the company and it has stayed on my board. From an "inside opinion", I would generally say that I don't like how it sounds on Ampeg Solid States and David Edens of any sort, but appreciate the tones I get out of Ashdown and Ampeg SVT-types.
My pedal setup from a few weeks back(things have changed much since).
Peace from an inactive warzone!
