Yeah so I am somewhat new to TalkBass and I can say its pretty great. Tone of Information. I mainly play for my school Intervarsity Christian Fellowship band and by going on faith, I am going to step into a lot larger, structured, music theory demanding... Church Choir.
Current Basses, projects
Active Jay Turser JTB1004 - Turning this into a mellower upright bass type of feel. Using Rotosound 77 Flats, soapbar pickups- not sure of brand (assume Turser) , would like to replace them, maybe Bartolini, *Any Suggestions*
Gitano 4-string Jazz Bass - Converted to a Piccolo Bass just as a project of interest. I was inspired by Wayman Tisdale. I am turning this back into a Slap/Funk Bass. Seymour Duncan SJB-2n/b Bassline Pickups. DR Extra life Peacock Blue Strings. These look great on this metallic black and chromed out bass.
Yeah one song that I love that has a simple but flexible bass line, is Fred Hammonds - Lord Your Grace - on his album "Free to Worship"
Praise be to the Lord - Peace
