i'm a48 yo guitar player that moved from the big city to the country (sort of like the show Green Acres for you who live in the USA). Out here the electric guitar is not too popular. The only gig was a senior citizens get-together playing old country and gospel and they needed a bass player. Funny that my new church also needed a bass player. So i traded in some stuff for a Musicman Stingray at a guitar show and now i'm a bass player. It's a different mindset but i'm learning fast. i know theory pretty well and am learning to be the glue that holds the band together. This is really apparent in church-our worship band has one acoustic guitar and three keyboard players (no drummer). Anyway, i'm looking foward to meeting some of y'all and learning, learning, learning... |
