I'm just learning to play the bass (left handed due to a car accident which left my left wrist immobile) and at the suggestion of my wife who encouraged me to give it a try. I had previously, some time ago, played the guitar (right handed) but learning the bass is so much more rewarding! Switching to the left side hasn't been nearly as confusing as I thought it would be and all of the useful information here at TalkBass has been awesome. Everyone seems so nice and helpful with none of that "attitude" stuff.
