Hi, so I've made a couple of posts asking questions, but let me introduce myself:
I'm a high school teacher about to turn 30. Wife, almost 3-year-old, one-on-way.
I bought my first guitar as a freshman in college, not to play, but to fix and resell. Made my freshman year beer money for a year from this.
Self-taught online.
First learned bass because it "looked easier"

From western Iowa/ Omaha area
Gave up bass for about 5 years and taught myself the 6-string
Returned to bass a few months ago because a group of us teachers started playing together for a battle-type-situation

Realized how much I missed playing bass: bought a Yamaha from a guy that beat the hell out of it
Just got my Laney rbw300 (compare to rb6) yesterday with no power source and TB forum has already helped me!
