I have a 1983 Ibanez Musician MC824-DS bass.
But there are lot of dings and paint chips on the body. :crying:
So I planed to restoring it!

I'm here to find some good tips. :hyper:

I want to strip the lacquer, apply a walnut color stain on the head and on the front of the body, not on the back and not the neck thru. Then I want to apply tung oil.

Should be awesome (at least in my dream)! :D

Anyone have any thoughts?

If it's all honest playing wear, I'd leave it as is.

So you will not refinish it?

Also it's the first time I can see on an instrument some kind of dust between some frets and the fret board. :hmm:
But the frets don't seem to move...
Do you know why it happened?
