Cook County Jail should be available just about anywhere. For sure its on Amazon.

It is a album consisting almost totally of slow blues. But the band is so hot and right on(and B.B.tells some great stories) that it never gets boring.Highly recommended!

I knew Louis and he was definitely a super talented artist.

In case you didn't know,he passed away September 2004.

Here's a few of the recordings he's done.

Louis played trombone on a lot of successful records, in addition to his great bass work.

Yes he was.

He was a session trombonist in the 60's for Chess records. He also was an original member of Earth Wind and Fires horn section and later that horn section would be called The Phenix horns. He also recorded and toured with many artist as a member of the Phenix horns.

Years later Phil Collins would sue Louis for money money that he felt Louis owed him.

Yeah, that was an unfortunate situation for "The Phenix Horns." Louis Satterfield (Satt) and Trumpet player, Rahm Lee Michael Davis, went to London's high court to settle what Phil Collins stated was overpayment to "The Phenix Horns" esq., on the part of his management...said they were only to be paid on the tracks they played on, and not the entire album...(which went on to be world reknowned) so many years after having received regular royalties, Phil's management team went...oops! We've given them too much money, stop ALL payments until ALL is recouped! Needles to say, they had no money at this point....
