Hello all, from a non-bassist!

I'm sure you guys get your occasional guitarists to stumble in here, but if I'm the first...



But I digress, my name is Rob. I love Rush and classic Rock in general, along with jazz, blues, and jam band style music. While I don't really dabble in the bottom end, I'd like to know more about the bass, as I am the "musical leader" for my band. I'd like to know a little more about the bass, some theory, and a good introductary bass, as I live 25 miles away from my bandmates. But all these questions will be asked in the appropriate forum.

If anyone's wondering, I was the one who went on about how sweet TalkBass is to him and how he's missing out.

But glad you FINALLY decided to join TalkBass. I'm sure you'll eventually be pushed to buy a bass.
