I guess my profile doesn-t fit any category.
I used to play bass-guitar in a rock band when I was young, some 25 or 27 years ago. Then circumstances of my life interrupted my musical exercises and I haven't touched a bass for all these years. Well, ocasionally I played acoustic, classical guitar.
Recently, by pure accident, I happened to be a guest in a house where four guys where enterntaining guests playing and jamming some light rock and jazz.
After few drinks I approached the band just to say how I appreciate their playing and offer them drinks of their choice. Drinks were declined but after a conversation I was invited to play something together if I wanted and felt able to.
Needless to say, my playing wasn't too good..... but that long forgotten feeling, kind of orgasmic feeling, came back to me when I touched the strings.
Now, 27 years later, 5 countries, 2 wifes and several engineering jobs (that pay the bills) later, I am thrilled to play again.
That is how I found this community - I am shopping for a new bass guitar.
A Fender, of course.
