Hello all, obviously, I am new to the forum and I really enjoy reading all the postings about all these wonderful issues of the bass. I am a beginner on the double bass, decided that I love the sound that comes from this monster of an instrument. I heard the beginning of the 4th movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, where the cellos and basses are playing together and I just couldn't believe the sound! Plus, my son is learning cello at the age of 6, so I thought it would be good for him if I learned to play also. I look forward to talking with all of you and discussing bass issues. |
