I'm a little late on the intro...i already have quite a few posts....but anyway.

Hi...my name's Jarrod. (my friends call me Rod) I have a broken history of bass playing. I started when I was 13, on a stolen/borrowed 5 string ESP. When that was stolen back/returned, I went without any instrument for the better part of a decade, but was still able to find people with basses, and practice.

Finally...at 25 and now semi-financially stable, and I've bought a slightly used 2000 MIM Jazz that I am absolutely in love with.

Incase you don't know...everyone from Chicagoland (Chicago and the surrounding suburbs) say they are from "Chicago". I am actually from the suburb Schaumburg...but say I'm from Chicago, because I'm sure a majority of you don't know where the f**k Schaumburg, IL is. Plus, I hang in the city enough to confidently say "I'm from Chicago!!!"

Hey there, fellow "Chicagoan"! I'm from Aurora - the only reason people know where that is, because of Waynes World. His Aurora looks alot like Toronto, hmmm.
