My name is Kareem, and I've been playing bass for a little over three years now. Might be a little too early but to hell with that, I love bass. My main influence is progressive metal, but I'm also into thrash, power, and death metal. I play for my metal band, Irony of Chaos. I'm the co-founder, and we've been playing together for almost two years now, we'll for me it's been three. We're really getting into playing gigs now, playing three at the end of the month and three next month.
The bassist who has a really strong influence on me is, Cliff Burton, Steve Harris, John Myung, Billy Sheehan, John Entwistle, Geddy Lee, Thomas Miller, Chris Squire, and Jack Bruce. I know many others are out there, I'll check them soon though.
Recently I just got into more Jazz, mainly fusion. I plan on continuing my studies for music, maybe going into a jazz program at a college and to continue playing this lovely instrument for the rest of my life.
I play a Schecter Stilletto Studio 4 string bass, I still have my Dean Rhapsody 4 string, but I love my Schechter.
So....that's all I have to say for now. Let's just keep showing these guitarist that they're worthless without us. lol
