Hi everybody - I've been on talkbass for 3 months and decided to finally post. I played electric bass in the 1970's but got away from it until 2000, when I bought a Tacoma and started playing old time music with friends. I made the jump to Double Bass 3 months ago, buying a friend's Shen1000 - a fully carved, fancy wood bass. I am loving it and enjoying learning the instrument. For all you EB players DB is a short struggle learning the new technique, rapid progression as all the old tricks come back, then a realization you are in a whole diffrernt ball game. But very rewarding. Thanks to all the TBers
