Hi, everybody!

I'm Tom-Phil. I'm an old hand on the drums (hence, the username) and rhythm guitar, but quite new to the bass. Whenever I'm searching the net for info on basses, I run into threads from TalkBass, and always find them helpful. Y'all seem like a cool, knowledgeable bunch of folks; I hope to learn a lot here!

Thanks, capnsandwich! I was playing up in your neck of the woods up until a couple of years ago; I was on a circuit that took me through Grove City every 8 weeks or so. Good days, before the smoking ban killed off the bars.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know the folks here, and soak up some smarts - ha ha! The old sponge is getting kind of crusty, though!
