Hello Everyone-
Frequent lurker and first-time poster. I've been playing bass for nearly 2-1/2 years but I'm about to start formal lessons with a private teacher. I just recently purchased a new bass and wish to thank fellow TBers for all the positive recommendations and extensive discussions; it really helped me arrive at my (agonizing) decision.
I enjoy playing bluegrass but would like to become proficient with the bow. I frequently jam with a lot of wonderful folks in the area. But by far my most favorite musical activity is jamming with my 10-year old son who has been playing guitar for two years now. (He blows me out of the water.... and I wouldn't have it any other way..!)
Nice to have finally jumped in. This is a terriffic site and provides a wealth of info for relative noobies (sp..?) such as meself...
