Hello, Mom of Bass Player

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Junior in high school that plays double bass (been playing since 6th grade). I joined to see if I could get advice from others. Sometimes he makes me want to pull my hair out.

Welcome to Talkbass! I'm an electric player since the 80's... just got my first double bass this month. Plenty of good people with good advise here... both Double AND Electric sides of the forum.

My mom, too, is the surviving mother of a bass player. We get better, grow up, move out, start developing GAS and molding our careers and budgets around Roger Sadowsky or Bob Gollihur's catalog, and life goes on

Good bassists are very much in demand, heck a mediocre player can still make decent cash. If he's a decent player support him to be a batter player (of the bass).
