Hello all,

Here I am.

I've never played an instrument before and can't carry a tune in a bucket. So, I'm starting late in life at the very, very beginning. I've been assured that I'm not too old, so we'll see.

I purchased some starter equipment and learning materials and have been noodling around with a DVD and a Hal Leonard book. So far it's been pretty fun. I even figured out how to use the tuner. (Yes, for me that is major.) I've also been doing some finger exercises from YouTube which are surprisingly taxing.

But I really want a live teacher, so I'll probably begin searching for one when I return from vacation next month.

If you can recommend anyone in the Houston area with a Saturday morning available in late January/early February, I'm all ears.

Bwahahahaha, thanks for the warm welcome.

And, as a matter of fact, I DID just do a search . . . for the Ibanez Club.

So there.

Dare I jump in when I have yet to play my first real notes? Dare I? {insert crazy maniacal laugh here}
