Just joined today, but have certainly lurked around here before.

27 year old Funk/Blues player. Freelance player in NYC...so if you need me give me a shout! Been playing for about 15 years now, ranging in all styles, but my heart lies in the funk!

I'm about to embark on defretting my 5 string...and thats the main reason i joined...but i'm sure ill get to posting around here and there. =]

Hey Togglehead!

I'm just as new as you. I'm getting into the bass and mostly play little octave jams out of a pentatonic minor scale. Which of course always gets funky.

it certainly does! I've been slap playing for years now...but im doing a lot to try and refine my finger funk style. The Hamer i just picked up has a killer mid tone!
