Hi Folks,
I got my first bass (Squire Vintage Modified Precision) last winter so I can jam along with my 13-year-old daughter who is now playing electric guitar. I'm a lapsed guitar player myself - hadn't played regularly in 20+ years - so I'm having a blast getting back into playing in general. I'm really loving bass. Having only ever been a half-decent guitar player, I'm particularly into how playing bass requires your full attention re: rhythm, melody and harmony. As a bass player, it's like you provide the bones of the music on which all the rest is built. I've got the bug and I'm diggin' it. I can't listen to music anymore without cueing right into the bass line!
Look forward to hanging around talkbass.
