Hi All-
My name is Mike and I'm from the Cincinnati area, across the river in Kentucky. Ive played music for about 10 years now, doing everything from playing with nationally touring bands, to running both commercial and private recording studios. I am currently working with a few local artists while also working at a music sore on the side.
I'm actually not really a bass player, though I do pick it up in studio when I'm working on a project. I'm a guitar player first. My bass rig consists of a Musicman Stingray 4 String, a Tobias Toby Pro5, and an Ampeg BA112. I usually record bass direct through one of my studio preamps, so no need for me to have a huge bass amp.
My guitar rigs are much nicer and consist of 2 Gibson Les Pauls, 3 Gibson SGs, a PRS CE24, 2 Fender Strats, a Vox AC30, Vox ad120, a Divided By 13 ERT33, a Taylor 615ce, and Taylor 814c.
I joined here to get some good info on basses from those that know. Lots of good info here, thanks!
