Ed Fuqua made me aware of this forum posting to a thread at one of the forums at All About Jazz.
I'm no musician myself though I played the double bass from 1965-1972 in the Youth Symphony Orchestra of my birthplace Düsseldorf, and in an Amateur Orchestra made up of all doctors who couldn't find a bass player among their colleagues. That's been great fun, playing mainly baroque music. I had to give up playing the bass when I started my studies at the university in another town as I didn't own an instrument.
I'm a jazz addict since that time, hence my website.
Looking forward to another great forum.....
