Hello TalkBassers

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bought a Fender Standard Jazz Bass. It replaced the one I learned on, a 1990 Guild. Immediately I noticed that the neck bow was too much on the new one. I took it back to the store, not being sure how to work on it. The tech cranked a couple times and said "may buzz some tomorrow, you may have to loosen with 1/4 turns". It buzzed when I got home today! I registered 30 minutes ago here and found posts on fret buzz. By now, from your info, all the buzz is gone and I have found that the action (bow) and nut height are OK now. All this I just learned from this TalkBass Forum. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

I have never done any work on a bass at all.

Glad to be here with all of you.

Thanks
