Hello from Texas!

Hi all. Quick run down of me. Played drums for near 20 years - dad played drums - granddad played drums. Ran in the family.

About 10 years ago my wrists went out - Carpel - Tendons fused - all sorts of fun stuff. Went into a funk because music for me was and is life blood.

Well about 2 years ago I bought a China made Fender Squire 4 string with a little 10 watt Crate amp. Played with it for like 2 days and quit. It just wasn't drums. Got bored playing scales.

So fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I picked up the bass and on the suggestion of my wife I just noodled around. Didn't care what I played. Then started learning some easy songs. I have pretty much nailed Pink Floyd's Money. I have fallen in love. The friendship that is growing between me and this cheap squire is amazing and all I want to do when I get home is play it. 4+ hours a day.

So I found this place last week via google and have been lurking around. Well figured I would start posting.

So hello all. Looking forward to learning many things with the bass and proving to myself 32 is not to old to learn a new instrument. Already thinking about what amp and bass to get next.
