Hello forumdwellers. I'm Steve, from New Zealand. Like a lot of people here, it seems, I'm returning seriously to the bass after a break of many years - although not a complete break. I started playing bass in my teens, about 30 years ago. Had some nice basses over the years including a couple of Rick 4001s ... should never have let them go! More recently I've been mainly playing guitar and keys in the church worship band I lead. But now I've started on bass with a gigging classic rock covers band - and that's meant a serious upgrade of gear. This is where TalkBass has been great! I've read so many reviews and comments from users that have helped me as I've been trying out new gear. Thanks everyone. So anyway, I'm now running a Fender Jazz (MIA) and a Yamaha BBG4 through a GK700RBII, into an Aguilar GS112 cab ... a very tasty combination. And adding a Bassman 4x10 for bigger gigs. I'll certainly be staying around the forums for more tips, so I'll see you again soon!
