Hello World

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently asked for a bass for my birthday this july and ever since then it has become my passion. I have been taking lessons through a local guitar shop in Richmond, VA. I also have gotten lucky and found a group of my friends who are all down to jam on about the same level as I am on and we have even recorded some songs for fun. All in all I am having a great time with it.

When I came across this site I knew I had hit jackpot. This forum will be a good way for me to soak up some knowledge and lingo that I would be hard pressed to find most other places.

Glad to be here TalkBass!

This is our "band" myspace page. We only have one song up as of now but feel free to check it out and leave feedback. Just remeber we are all very much amateurs.

Welcome to TB. It is a great resource for players of all levels.

What made you want to play bass? Play anything else?

Well basically at the time it was because none of my friends played it. And I knew it was a good way to learn the fundamentals of all music and apply those fundamentals without a long learning curve. But now I love it for different reasons. There is something divine about a well done bass solo or riff. I love it and hope to continue playing for years. No unfortunately I do not play anything else as of now but I am sure I will pick up other instruments as I learn more
