hi there,

after some post I thought it was time to introduce myself.
I play bass for more than 17 years now. Before that I played trumpet for 12 years. I began with my lessons when I was 6. So.. feel free to calculate my age.

I now play in a worshipband but before this I also played in a national well known gospelrockband here in the Netherlands, alongside several other formations and studio sessions on a freelance basis.

I am a christian, but the only thing I want to say about that: If you really want to know what's Christianity about: DONT look at the christian people. They usually #$%#$% things up. DO get a Bible or something, take your time and simply read.

Together with my wife I run a home shelter for mentally disturbed children. This gives me a lot of time during the day to practice (when the kids are at school) but has cut my budget significantly. Last year I quitted my regular job as a senior manager at an educational company.

My other hobby is Flightsim. What began as a simple game, ended up with this:

It's a serious hobby now and I need to keep up with the theory and practice. The flying is on-line in a community (http://www.ivao.aero/) and before being admitted you have to do some serious exams.
I like this hobby because it is complicated stuff. During a regular flight you have to monitor so many different things and ou have to be continuously sharp.

Well, that's me!
Sorry for my english; it's not my native language...

Hello from the U.S.! Nice flight sim stuff! I understand how you like complicated stuff, that's why I'm getting ready to be an air traffic controller!

cool man! go for it! I was too old when I saw the flight-light.
I did apply seriously for the training but I was rejected because of my age

I am. It's for the air force, so I'm sure they'll teach me good! My grandpa was a small plane pilot, and he can't fly anymore because of the physical.

He can still fly things that don't require a pilots license, such as an Ultra light.
