Help!

I'm brand new to this site and I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm trying to switch from an upright to electric bass and I'm doing ok but I feel like I'm moving a bit slowly. I'd love any tips anyone has as I don't know anybody who's tried this and my upright teacher doesn't play the electric bass. Anything you think might help would be amazing!

Good for you!!

Keep at it, it will come along faster very soon!
Watch videos, go see live performances, read and study.
You already have the advantage of having hand strength from the upright.
Are you playing fretted or fretless?
Lots of good info around here, PM me if I can help.
Rick
