Hey All from Canada

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum although I've been reading a few posts as a guest. So, about me. Let's see. Well, I started as a guitarist (perhaps like countless others), and all of the sudden I decided to try the bass, so I booked myself some lessons and rented a nice Squier Precision.

I guess I got so hooked since there, that I already call myself a bassist. I not all that bad at guitar, but for some reason it never attracted my attention as much as the bass: it's low, warm growl, its groove, the funky slap and pop, the beautiful, long, slender form of the guitars themselves.

So far, I decided I could give myself a great start so I actually own two basses now: a MIM Fender Jazz Bass, and a Yamaha RBX375. I want to be good in the 4-string bass, but I also wanted something else to vary my tone, and that was also a 5-string for more versatility.

I was pretty lucky in that I had some money saved for a bass (enough for a higher quality Squier), but I got some extra cash and now I own two beautiful basses!

Anyways, my introduction is now long as it is. Greetings, and I hope I can get (and give) some great info, tips and experiences about bass playing.

Oh, I don't see why I should start showing off my "babies", so here they go.

This is an older photo when I still had the rented Precision:

The Fender I nickname "Nessie", and the Yamaha (which is temporary because I will get a brand new one in about a week) is "Misty". It's just for fun. For some reason it sounded cute to nickname my basses.
