Glad to have found this forum! I've been reading the posts for a couple of days and found that there are a lot of great people here and many interesting threads.
I've played for 15 years or so in several different bands with different styles, some were fun, some were a drag. Even got burned out at one point, and didn't touch the bass for almost two years. I kept remembering, though, how much fun this all can be, and started again. It sure is hard to find the right bunch of guys , and I've spent countless hours practicing with bands that never could get it together. By the way , Loose Cannon is the name of a group I was in that played a couple of gigs during that time. I named that band, and still think it's a good band name.
My fortunes changed in the past year, and the group I'm in now has been gigging at least three times a month since last fall. This year could be our big year if all goes well based on the feedback we've gotten and a couple of connections we've made. As long as it stays fun, that's all I ask.
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know some of the members here, hope I can be of some help sometime , and you will surely hear some really dumb questions from me from time to time. See you in the forums!!
