Hi. I joined here a few years ago, as I was about to get a bass, but it ended up not happening. However, I've got one on the way, and I realized I don't know anymore about basses than I did, so I figured it made sense to come here.
Anyway, a little background.... I've played guitar for 14 or 15 years, and picked up a bass occasionally along the way. It was always fun, but I never ended up buying one for whatever reason. I got Billy Sheehan's album Compression the other day, and got interested in acquiring a bass again. The following day, I listened to the Oysterhead album, and decided I definitely needed one
I'm a member of the Seymour Duncan Forum, inquired about what would be a good decent, inexpensive bass. A buddy told me he had an old MIA Peavey Foundation that he'd give me for a song, and now I'm here.
