well i have been playing solidly for the past week! i can now play the bass rift from rappers delight by sugar hill gang, message in a bottle by police, the melody still lingers on by chaka kahn, crush by paramore and turn it on again by genesis!

i just like funk and rock and i started on a bit of a whim really.
I have bi polar and i just decided there was only so much of the clarinet and flute i could take and i wanted something a bit more beefy to keep me cheerful! so i brought a bass as my dad plays guitar and my brother plays drums. I like being individual and i know no other girls that play bass!
what about you?

well I love almost every thing in small parts. But I play rock and heavy metal. The reason I like metal is the the energy gives me a rush.

welcome, very nice bass indeed!

4 hours a day wow, at that rate you will be better than me in 6 months than my 2 years of hacking away at playing

edit: +1 for hard rock and heavy metal... I can listen to other genre's but not many of them give me that same vibe!

Just make sure you practise a little bit each day even if not for ages every time,... the quote 'playing each day gets you better for one day, not playing for a day makes you worse by two' unfortunately is true! keep at it and just keep rocking out

edit: man, I want purple metallic paint job on my bass now!

Hi and welcome...

Just a quick question regarding your pics, are you a lefty?...or is the bottom pic backwards?

Either way, glad to meet ya. Love the purple bass, you look good on it...I mean it looks good on you.

Just don't throw up on your bass, and you'll be good.

I kid. Welcome to TB!
