Hey guys, long time lurker. Well whats to say? Im 17, play bass in a ro ck band (which will get its own topic once we record this weekend), play sax, learning how to play guitar, and listen to basicly all types of music except country and rap, and I really look forward to talking to all of you. Your first excursion into the world of music was with the sax, then you picked up a bass, and now you're learning guitar, yes?

Which bassists have been the most influential for you?

I'm always interested in hearing people's music, and I'm down to hear how the recording goes this weekend (I take it that it's being done at a home-studio?).

You would be correct sir on the order sir, although my guitar playing is on hold until I buy some new strings and get the tramelo set up. My main influences are Flea, Krist Novoselic, and Nate Mendel. The recording went great, we got two songs recorded and mixed in two days, and the guy was a genius.
