Hey!!! Instrument Insurance (newish member)

Hey guys!!

Sorry i didn't know where to post this or if their's a post about this already... i had a look but couldn't find much..

So pretty much iv just moved out of home which means im independent now and the first thing i realized was "OH MY GOD! WHAT IF I GET ROBBED MY INSTRUMENTS!!!!" haha
So i would like some help
What's a good place for instrument insurance? I have about $4-$5k worth of stuff and growing so i need to play it safe. I live in Sydney Australia so people know where im looking for.

In the US the best insurance is through the AFM. I reduced my collection so I am getting a new quote now.

Marsh are the specialist musical instrument insurers in Australia. It's best to go through them because they cover you for more musician-specific scenarios (having your bass trashed by an audience member at a gig, for example).

I was with them for a few years before I stopped doing music full-time at uni. Since they mostly sit at home now, they're under my home insurance. I paid a once-yearly premium of around $400 for perhaps $7k-10k of bass gear. Better safe than sorry.
