Hey whats happenen!?

Thought I'd join this place and pick up some knowledge and perhaps excel my playing a lot more. I'm 18 and I've been playing bass for about 3 years. One thing thats kept me from losing interest (unlike my guitar playing friends :P) is screwing around with other instruments, like the ukulele and banjo, and I even have an upright bass.

My current jig is a 94-95 Japanese Fender Mustang, which I am REALLY liking compared to my previous Epiphone Tbird. (What a pain to play. I'm kind of a small dude) I'm about to buy a Trace Elliot set up from an old hippy guitar store owner. Its like a BLX80, having the slot on the front, but its 130 watts and has a lot more bells and whistles, and its sitting on top of a Trace 15" cab. Its so damn ugly.. but I really like how it sounds. (My bass looks good though... I'm kind of a sucker for that :P)

Thanks for reading my paragraphs dudes. I hope some know-how will rub off on me while I'm here.

Whoa dude.... Thanks xD I was about to edit in my post "Anything you all think I should read?"

And yeah, it was coincidence that I found that bass in that color... I got it in perfect condition with its original flight case for only $550... It's also from a local band (Kansas City) that I really like, The Republic Tigers. So it's a keeper to me. :P

Thanks a lot Ill be coming back to this thread and scanning through all those links

I keep my a notepad text file in my task bar handy so I can capture links to threads that have interesting topics and replies. A lot of the posts are priceless. Glad I was able to pass them on.

It would be a keeper to me as well. Man, it looks really fine. I was searching for one awhile back but couldn't find one that I really liked. Ended up with a Jazz bass.

It reminds me (the size that is) of the Hofner I used to play. Small, thin neck, easy to play.
