Hey all!
I just discovered this site today, and I must say it's pretty nifty. I'm a bassist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I've been playing double bass for 4 years and bass guitar for 3. I'm classically trained on the double, can fake my way through jazz and am self-taught on the electric. I really love playing the bass.
I play in a bunch of different bands in 'peg city; I'm normally the guy who gets called up a week before the gig: "Help! We need a bass player!!!" It's fun. I also play in a local youth orchestra.
This site caught my eye in particular because of the excellent bass-building forums. I've been pondering over delving into the world of bass craftsmanship and look forward to getting some tips from those older and wiser than myself.
