Hi all, new bass player here.

Hi everybody,
I'm a drummer learning bass. I want to see how the other half lives. I think it will really help me be a better drummer, and who knows, I might get addicted to the instrument.

I bought an Ibanez SR530 and a little Fender 60 watt amp for practice.

I"m taking lessons from a local professional as well. I will be glad when the initial tedious raw beginner stage is over, and I can at least play some simple tunes!

I'm new today! Welcome to you...I've heard we need not be too concerned with the grizzled old veterans. That's good, I'm just anold guy looking for some guidance occassionally.
