"Hi, Dr. Nick!" *grin*
So, my name is Jessica, and it's been about 13 years since I've sat down and seriously studied bass. I used play the piano and guitar as well, but I've always loved bass the most. Plus, it's far easier to purchase (and cart around) a bass than a piano. I started lurking here about 3 weeks ago, and I decided that it was finally time for me to say hello and boost the girl-count on this board.
I used to play pretty bad grrrl-punk in high school, but I suppose now you should call me a bluegrass freak. Les Claypool was my initial inspiration to play, but at the moment I'm most blown away by Edgar Meyer. Currently, I'm using a Luna Diana Series Acoustic Bass. It's cute, and a nice starter bass, but I'd like to someday graduate to something better. My husband and I are music freaks, and we enjoy taping. I work from home, and I'm so excited to have something more constructive than "Guitar Hero" to eat up my free time.
I think that's about it. So far, y'all are a wealth of information, and I hope to learn more!
