Hi. Howdy. Hello.

I guess I better introduce myself. I have been a member of that other bass forum for years, but sometimes a little more serious conversation is needed.

I started out playing violin when I was 4 years old. I studied classical for 12 years. Then I turned 16 and became too "cool" to play in the orchestra. I then switched to electric bass and I haven't looked back, though I do still lay the fiddle in a bluegrass band.

I have played bass for 15 years. I have an original Trace Elliot AH250SMX head, original Trace Elliot 1048H 4x10 cab, Ibanez BTB 5string, Washburn 5 string fretless, Washburn 4 string fretless, and my #1 a Schecter CV-4.

2 days ago I bought my first URB. It is a cheap plywood Chinese POS. I actually prefer the plywood. Less feedback on a loud stage, more durable, less susceptible to climate changes. As far as I know, it won't make that much of a difference once I get a pup installed and plug it in. I'm learning how to setup an URB with this, and that is why I'm here. From searching, I found the basic info I need right now. I know I'll find lots of good information here, and I hope that I can be of help to someone else.
