Cool Hi, I'm Jorah, pleased to meet you!

Hello, my name is Jorah, and obviously I'm a bassist(Been playing for little over a year). I live in a small town where there are hardly any other bassists(I think there are 2 others besides myself) but an oddly huge abundance of guitarists and some good drummers(Jackpot!).

I came to talkbass for three reasons:
1)To meet other bassists and musical experts(main reason)
2)To give advice
3)and to ask for advice also.

I love to play metal and progressive rock, I know all of the songs by Rush except for The Analog Kid, and I'm working on some Metallica(Only the songs when Cliff was around), Megadeth, Iron Maiden, and Dream Theater.

I write some of my own songs as I'm sure a lot of people on here do. I just get lost on how to write the basslines to it as I hate basslines that just hit one open string through the whole song and I'm a fan of the real complicated basslines like those that Geddy Lee plays.

I hope to get to know you all and that we could learn from eachother.

Cheers!
