I discovered this site this afternoon when many people from Talkbass began visiting my website,
Jas Obrecht Music Archive. I like what I've seen here and decided to join the community.
By way of background, I was an editor at Guitar Player magazine from 1978-1998, and have written hundreds of articles about blues, rock, metal, and other genres. I've also written books on blues, co-wrote "My Son Jimi" with James "Al" Hendrix, and produced the Young Buckethead DVDs and two CDs for Buckethead. Needless to say, I love bass and guitar music!
About nine months ago, I began thinking of what would happen to all the interview tapes I've accumulated over the years, and decided to start sharing them with other music lovers around the world. So that's why I started the Archive. Since May, I've posted 76 articles and complete, unedited interviews, so if you're interested in this "old school" style of music journalism, I invite you to stop by! Cheers, Jas
