I'm new on this form so I'll introduce myself first.
My name is Jan and Í've been playing pro bass all over Europe for about 25 years. I teach bass too and currently I'm working om an Encyclopedia of Bassmakers which will contain information on about 2000 bass brands. First edition will be in dutch but an international/english edition is in the works.
Anyone who likes to contribute is welcome to do so - I'm especially interested in obscure, uncommon brands. Recently I read about the quest for names of bassmakers elsewhere on this forum - had to chuckle...just about 300 brands are named - you ought to do better. Ofcourse I'll add to that later.
