New to the community, but have been playing for about 35 years. I currently have 3 basses: a Fender PJ Special, a Cort solid-body violin-shape short-scale, and a Samick acoustic-electric. The current amps are a small Crate for practice, and a Behringer head with a custom 4-12 cabinet. The trusty (crusty?) old Bassman 100 is in the shop for a rewire.
I primarily play blues, rock, and a bit of jazz. I'm usually a finger-player, with just a hint of pop & slap, and prefer warm, dark tones & walking lines. Lately I've been listening to Michael Manring, Rob Wasserman, & John Cowan for a change of pace. Early influences include Jack Bruce, John Entwistle, Duck Dunn, and many others. No band at present, but fairly regular jams with other locals.
