Hi folks

Just thought I'd sign up after several months of googling bass-related issues and having this forum turn up somewhere in the top 5 every time. You folks seem to know what you're talking about...

I'm a Brit, lived in San Fran for 10 years and enjoy it over here.

Play a Rickenbacker 4003 that I don't really deserve, but I bought it to inspire me to do the work to deserve it. Carvin BX1200, 1x18 and 2x10 rig. $99 Dean Edge as a beater bass for the trunk (surprisingly good for the money).

Considering getting an all-walnut Carvin 5-string icon series made, but - like everyone else seems to be doing - putting the big expenses on hold until we know we're the economy's going.

Looking forward to learning more and meeting everyone.

Fluffypsycho - just saw that you'd had your baby stolen. As a fellow 4003 owner, let me offer my commiserations.

And when you find the *&)%*(&# that did it, I'll hold 'em while you hit 'em. And hide the body for you afterwards.

You're welcome! Glad I could help out. IMO, those are some of the best links I've found out of the thousands I've read.

Good luck.

P.S. If I can help out in anyway, shoot my a PM.

A Brit in SF - at least you're used to the weather...
Welcome aboard. Sounds like you've got a good rig.
We just had a NorCal GTG (get together) with a lot of good music shared and cool gear to try out. Keep an eye out for the next one, people are talking about doing it again in 6 months.
